What makes it samurai
A real samurai name is more than a cool sound. It is a family name, a personal name and often a title, each written in kanji that carry meaning. Our generator follows the same pattern, so the result reads as Japanese rather than as a random mix of syllables.

Names are suggestions for fiction, games and fun. If you want a name for a real Japanese context, such as a business in Japan, ask a native speaker to check how it reads.

Japanese names are traditionally written family name first, so Takeda Shingen belongs to the Takeda family and Shingen is his personal name. The generator follows that order. Ancient lineage names use "no" between the two parts, as in Minamoto no Yoritomo.
