Using the Generator
The generator is a free creative tool. You may use it for personal and commercial projects, such as naming characters in books, games, role play campaigns, videos, usernames and pets. You may not use the Site to break the law, to harass others, or to disrupt or overload the Site.
Generated Names
Names are produced automatically from lists of real Japanese names and words. Personal names are not owned by anyone, and we claim no rights over the names you generate. A generated name may match a real person, historical figure, brand or trademark by coincidence. You are responsible for checking that a name is suitable and available before relying on it, especially for a business, product or registered trademark.
Our Content
The Site design, text, guides, illustrations, logo and code are owned by Samurai Names and protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with a link back to the original page. Please do not copy whole articles, images or the generator's code to another site without written permission.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep kanji, meanings and history accurate, as described in our editorial policy. Even so, the Site is provided for education and entertainment, and we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or free of error.
